Cafe Amalfi
About This Spot
Walking into Cafe Amalfi feels like stepping into a calm, sunlit corner of Boston’s waterfront where the rhythm slows just enough to savor the moment. Nestled at Battery Wharf, this cafe offers a welcoming retreat from the city’s bustle—a cozy haven where the aroma of freshly roasted coffee mingles with the faint hum of soft, thoughtfully curated tunes. The pace here invites you to linger: whether it’s a quiet morning ritual or a midday pause between errands, the atmosphere strikes a gentle balance between intimate and inviting.
The charm of Cafe Amalfi lies in its thoughtful approach to simplicity—each cup of coffee carries the warmth of a well-tended roast, carefully tailored to avoid any trace of harshness, favoring instead a soft, rounded flavor that soothes as much as it awakens. This is a place where you can find comfort in the nuanced layers of a Madagascar vanilla latte or delight in the gentle spice of a chai latte, each sip a small ceremony that feels thoroughly considered. And alongside these drinks, the kitchen’s fresh-baked croissants and hearty breakfast options feel like more than fuel; they become a part of your day’s story, balanced, flavorful, and unpretentious.
There’s an approachable authenticity here—a connection to Italian-inspired flavors that feels honest and familiar rather than stylized. It’s evident in the texture of the bread, the freshness of each ingredient, and the care taken to offer options that cater to various tastes and preferences. The steady stream of locals and visitors alike returning for their morning fix or settling in for a light lunch speaks to the quiet consistency that Cafe Amalfi nurtures.
With its bright, airy space and thoughtful service, the ambiance is softly enlivened but never rushed, encouraging moments of reflection or relaxed conversation. Whether you’re watching the harbor light shift through the window or sharing a peaceful pause over a slice of carrot cake, this is a place that feels like a gentle nod to everyday joys—the simple happiness found in good coffee, fresh food, and the warmth of a well-loved neighborhood table.

Have been traveling up the East Coast for three weeks from DC to NY to Boston. Best coffee we’ve had. Perfect roast. Not over, not under roasted. In an age of fruity, acidic millennial coffee craze, it’s nice to have a touch of fruit, with a warm round roast. Masterfully done, and the play list was on point too!

Café Amalfi is a fantastic spot with a cozy atmosphere and great service. I stopped by for breakfast and had their breakfast sandwich which was absolutely delicious! The ingredients were fresh, the bread was perfectly toasted packing a bunch of flavor, and bringing everything together beautifully. I also tried the chocolate croissant, which was decent but nothing special compared to everything else they offer. The iced salted caramel cold brew was great, and the cold foam on top was awesome, smooth, flavorful, and just the right touch of sweetness. Overall, a wonderful experience, and I’ll definitely be back to try more from their menu!

An absolute excellent Madagascar vanilla latte. I’m not from here, but if I ever come back, I will definitely stop here. Five stars all the way.

We spent 5 days in Boston. We got our morning coffee and breakfast here 4 of those days. Mostly because it opens at 7am but also because the food choices were vast, and everything was fresh made and very tasty. They also have a few sugar-free flavor options for the coffee which I prefer. The egg wrap was hearty and very filling. I had that 2 days and it was my only meal until dinner each time. I also had the avacado toast and even though it's size was small compared to the giant egg wrap, it to kept me pretty full all day. They also have several delicious-looking freak pastries and breads/cakes but I didn't give in to try any. It's a very convenient location for the north end, and the area was never really busy in the a.m.

I travel a lot and enjoy the Italian food that is served in excellent Italian restaurants in other cities. Unfortunately here in my hometown of Knoxville this was never the case until now. The meal that my wife and I savored at Amalfi was equal to or better than anywhere I have dined. The ambience the service the entire experience is so very welcome Hello Amalfi excellent Italian cuisine has finally arrived

Okay, so the Salted Carmel Cold Brew is to die for! The best I’ve had EVER, anywhere!! They whisk the crème up right there in front of you. The fact that Starbucks is even in business two blocks down from this spot is surprising. Also, very dog friendly. They have water and treats out for the dogs.

Beautiful location in Battery Wharf. Grab a cappuccino and take a walk outside to see Bosto Harbor. Cafe is very good. Plenty of outdoor seating. No table service but friendly staff provides what you need at the counter.
